Maureen Nollette was born in Nebraska and moved to California, Missouri and New York before making her home in Michigan over two years ago. She received a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute and MFA at Queens College of the City University of New York. While in New York, Nollette designed and built a line of furniture, which received significant acclaim in the industry. Her minimalist aesthetic can also be seen in her installations, drawings and collages. Nollette has shown her work regionally on the East Coast and her art and furniture are in public and private collections.
Nollette teaches at Kendall College of Art and Design and the Grand Rapids Art Museum. She lives in Grand Rapids, MI with her husband, two sons and one cat.
